Pendells Commons was designed as an intergenerational affordable housing community, blending senior apartments with workforce housing. It supports both older adults and working households in a cohesive, community-driven environment. The development includes 24 affordable senior apartments alongside 48 workforce housing units, totaling 72 rental units across four buildings. There are three two-story buildings that have 36 two-bedroom and 12 three-bedroom apartments for families. There is one three-story building with 24 one-bedroom senior apartments, plus the on-site superintendent’s unit.

 

Amenities include a central green space, playground, sports court, stream, and wooded areas creating a peaceful, family-friendly setting. Indoor amenities include a large community room, fireplace, computer lounge, fully equipped kitchens, laundry facilities, on-site management, controlled access with intercom and on-site parking.

 

This property was funded with a $9M construction loan and $2.9M permanent loan provided by Community Preservation Corporation. It received $1.95M from NYS Housing Trust Fund, $11.2M in tax credit equity from Raymond James Tax Credit Funds and a $615K HOME grant from Dutchess County.
