The Hamlet at Pawling, completed in 2016, is an affordable senior housing community nestled within Castagna Commerce Park—a master-planned “center for healthy aging” developed in collaboration with Castagna Realty.
The property includes 80 one- and two-bedroom senior apartments, thoughtfully designed to support aging in place. Among these, eight units participate in New York State’s Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) waiver program, serving individuals whose needs would otherwise require institutional support.
As part of a broader vision for a healthy aging ecosystem—comprising mixed-use commercial, medical, and residential development—The Hamlet at Pawling advances a mission to provide safe, affordable, and supportive housing for older adults.
By integrating transitional-support units (via the NHTD program), the project caters especially to vulnerable seniors who might otherwise require institutional care. This inclusive blueprint helps seniors maintain independence while staying connected within a community framework. These components, combined with the property’s design, earned it a Gold LEED rating for sustainability and energy efficiency.
